Car Window Tinting

Keep your car cooler, protect your interior, and ride in style. vinyl ink installs ULTRAFIT Vivid Signature ceramic window tint... one of the highest-performing films available, period.

What is window tint and why should you invest in it?

Window tint is a thin film applied to your vehicle's glass that blocks heat, UV radiation, and glare without changing how you see the road. Not all tint is created equal though. There's a massive difference between a basic dyed film that fades in two years and a nano ceramic film engineered to block 97% of infrared heat while staying crystal clear. That's the difference between feeling like you're sitting under a heat lamp and actually being comfortable in your car on a Bay Area summer afternoon.

At vinyl ink, we use ULTRAFIT Vivid Signature... a premium nano carbon ceramic IR film that delivers 99% UV rejection and up to 97% infrared rejection across every shade. We've been doing this since 2012 and we're certified ULTRAFIT USA installers. The results speak for themselves.

Proudly Offering ULTRAFIT Vivid Signature

The VS Series: Premium Nano Carbon Ceramic IR

The Vivid Signature is ULTRAFIT's top-of-the-line window film, built on Nano Carbon Ceramic IR technology. Whether you're going dark in the rear or keeping it light up front, the VS series delivers 97% IR rejection and 99% UV rejection across its core shade range. No metal in the construction means zero interference with GPS, cell signal, or any of the electronics your vehicle depends on. provides excellent IR heat rejection and superior quality without using dyes for its rich color.

Why Nano Carbon Ceramic?

Most window films use either dyed film or metal-based technology. Dyed films fade over time and offer minimal heat rejection. Metal films block heat but interfere with GPS, phone signal, and radar... a real problem in modern vehicles packed with electronics. Nano carbon ceramic technology solves both. The ceramic particles block infrared heat without using any metal, so your signal stays clean and your cabin stays cool. It's the current top tier of window film technology and it's what we install on every tint job at vinyl ink.

Built for the Bay Area

Bay Area summers push interior car temps well past what's comfortable, and our UV index is no joke either. Unprotected glass lets that heat and UV pour in all day, fading your interior, straining your AC, and making every parking lot feel like an oven. ULTRAFIT Vivid Signature cuts that down dramatically... not just slightly. Pair it with the right shade for your vehicle and you'll notice the difference the first time you get back into a parked car on a hot afternoon.

Window Tint Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does the tinting process take?

Most vehicles take between 2 and 4 hours depending on the number of windows. We ask that you avoid rolling your windows down for at least 3 days after installation to allow the film to fully cure.

  • Is window tinting legal?

Yes, with specific limits. In California, front side windows must allow at least 70% visible light transmission (VLT). Rear side windows and the rear windshield have no darkness restriction. A non-reflective tint strip is permitted on the top 4 inches of the front windshield. We ensure every installation is compliant and provide the required certificate with every job.

  • How do I care for my tinted windows?

Don't roll your windows down for the first 3 days. After that, clean with a mild non-ammonia cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive products and stay away from anything with ammonia... it breaks down the film over time.

  • Will tinting affect my visibility at night?

ULTRAFIT Vivid Signature is engineered for optical clarity, so night visibility is not significantly impacted on the shades we install for front windows. Darker shades on rear windows can reduce visibility through your mirrors at night, which is worth factoring into your shade choice... we'll talk through that with you during your consultation.

Vehicle Tinting Projects

Window Tinting Cost Guide

Tinting prices vary based on your vehicle size, the number of windows, and the film selected. As a general starting point, most sedans run between $200 and $350 for a standard ceramic package. SUVs and larger vehicles typically range from $300 to $500 or more. Our ULTRAFIT Vivid Signature film sits at the premium end of that range... and for good reason.

You'll see shops advertising tint jobs at very low prices. The film matters more than most people realize. Cheap dyed films fade, bubble, and peel within a few years. Quality nano ceramic film like ULTRAFIT VS holds its color, holds its performance, and holds up to Bay Area sun without issue. We don't cut corners on materials or installation.

Every tint job at vinyl ink comes with a proper prep process, precise fitment, and the required California compliance certificate. We're ULTRAFIT USA certified installers and we stand behind the work. Request a quote for accurate pricing on your specific vehicle.
