Terms of Service
Effective Date: May 4, 2026 | Last Updated: May 4, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of vinyl.ink and the services provided by Vinyl Ink. By requesting a quote, dropping off a vehicle, signing a work order, paying an invoice, or otherwise engaging with us, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy is published at vinyl.ink/privacy and is incorporated by reference.
Who We Are
Vinyl Ink is a vehicle wrap, paint protection film (PPF), window tint, and signage shop based in Fremont, California. We operate as Vinyl Ink Corporation. Our shop and registered business address is 4835 Davenport Place, Fremont, CA 94538.
Quotes, Estimates, and Pricing
Quotes are based on the information you provide and what we observe at intake. Final pricing may change if the scope, materials, condition, or vehicle change. All pricing is quoted as a package unless otherwise specified. If it is not listed on the work order or shown on the approved print proof, it is not included. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Appointments, Installation, and Cancellation
Your appointment reserves garage space and installer time. Late drop-offs or cancellations with less than two weeks notice may incur a fee of $160 per scheduled appointment day, plus the cost of any materials already produced.
Vehicles must be washed 24 hours to 4 days before the appointment. Excessively dirty vehicles may incur cleaning fees or delays. We perform a 3-step waterless cleaning process onsite.
Cleaning Fees:
- Small/Medium vehicles: $115
- Large/Oversized vehicles: $175
- Extremely dirty vehicles: +$90
Vehicle, Personal Belongings, and Storage
Due to space limitations, your vehicle may be parked outside during its stay. Customers are responsible for maintaining appropriate insurance coverage to protect against weather, theft, vandalism, or other external conditions while the vehicle is on or near our property. Vinyl Ink is not responsible for personal belongings left in vehicles. Please remove all valuables before drop-off.
Vehicles left more than 30 days after completion notice may incur storage charges. Vehicles abandoned for more than 90 days after completion may be subject to lien and disposal procedures under California law.
Our Care Guarantee
Upon drop-off, we document mileage, confirm the VIN, conduct a walk-around inspection, and record a high-definition 360 degree video for quality and accountability retained for two weeks after installation. Our installers are factory trained and certified. We are fully insured and guarantee protection against incidental damage caused by our staff while working on your vehicle within our property.
Paint Issues
Automotive films are designed for use on factory paint. Vehicles with aftermarket paint, compromised clear coat, or paint older than five years may experience issues during installation or removal. We cannot guarantee the condition of non-OEM paint or paint already showing signs of failure. No installation warranty is provided for issues stemming from existing paint defects.
Completion Delays
Completion times are estimates and may be affected by unforeseen circumstances. Guaranteed turnaround times are provided only when explicitly stated in writing before your appointment. We will make every effort to return your vehicle promptly.
We're the Experts
We install wraps using industry best practices, professional judgment, and experience. During installation, our installers may make necessary last-minute adjustments or use patches, overlays, or seams to achieve the best result.
Very Minor Defects
Vehicle wraps use large adhesive-backed materials, and minor imperfections are sometimes unavoidable. These may include tiny dust particles, micro-bubbles, small creases, adhesive lines, or minor misalignments. We do not permit major flaws and routinely redo panels before customers ever see them. If you require absolute perfection with no tolerance for minor industry-standard variances, you may need an elevated installation tier.
Horizontal Durability
Horizontal surfaces such as hoods and roofs typically have a shorter lifespan of 1 to 3 years depending on the material. Perforated window graphics generally last around one year. After these timeframes, removal or replacement is recommended.
What You're Getting
If it is not listed on the work order or shown on the approved print proof, it is not included. All pricing is quoted as a package unless otherwise specified.
Timeline
All completion times begin after artwork approval. A one business day estimate means a vehicle dropped off Friday at 10am will be ready Monday at 10am. Timelines are estimates and may change due to unexpected factors. Please plan accordingly when scheduling.
Artwork, Designs, Files and Intellectual Property
All original artwork belongs to its respective creator. Vinyl Ink does not sell, transfer, or assume ownership of customer-provided artwork. Customers must maintain their own copies of original files.
Vinyl Ink will not release any artwork without an explicit artwork purchase. Design and setup services are discounted for in-house use only and do not include rights for transfer, reproduction, or external use. Payment for design time is not considered a file purchase.
Customers are responsible for accuracy of content, colors, measurements, and bleed on supplied files. Vinyl Ink is not liable for print issues caused by low-resolution or poor-quality artwork. Vinyl Ink attempts to keep file backups for up to 10 years but cannot guarantee storage. Customers must retain their own files.
Customer-Provided Materials
When customer-provided materials are used, Vinyl Ink cannot guarantee installation quality or provide any product warranties. We are not responsible for defects, inaccuracies, or damage caused by or to customer-provided items. Wholesale clients must supply any necessary reprints at no additional cost for up to 20% of the labor value on our invoice. Additional reprints beyond this limit may be billed at a rate not exceeding $3/sq ft.
Photographs and Work-Product Release
Customer grants Vinyl Ink a license to photograph, film, and record the project and to use those images and recordings for portfolio, marketing, and social media use including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, vinyl.ink, advertisements, and submissions to manufacturer-certified installer programs. Where the work displays your trade name or branding, we may include that branding in published images to demonstrate our craftsmanship, not to imply endorsement or partnership. License plates, VINs, and personally identifying details are obscured or cropped before public posting whenever practical.
Opt-out. Email remove@vinyl.ink with your name, vehicle or job description, and the request to remove or exclude. We cannot recover images already shared or downloaded by third parties.
License Plate Frames
Vinyl Ink may install a branded license plate frame on vehicles that do not already have one unless declined by the customer prior to completion. We do not replace frames on rented, leased, transit, or government vehicles.

By providing a mobile telephone number to Vinyl Ink, you authorize us to contact you via SMS regarding your order, appointment, vehicle, or related services. Standard message and data rates may apply.

Email Communications
By providing your email address, you authorize Vinyl Ink to contact you about your job, send proofs, invoices, appointment reminders, warranty information, and occasional shop updates. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link. Transactional emails cannot be unsubscribed without ending the engagement.
Money, Payments, Refunds, and Chargebacks
There are no refunds for special-order items or completed work. Full payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. We may withhold property until all payments are made. Customers are responsible for returned-payment fees and interest. Final payment signifies acceptance and satisfaction of the completed product. Chargebacks are considered invalid until Vinyl Ink has been given reasonable opportunity to address the customer's concerns. Invoices with no communication or customer action for over one year may be closed and absorbed by the company. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Vinyl Ink does not store full card numbers.
Warranties
Vinyl Ink provides a one-year installation guarantee unless the film manufacturer specifies otherwise. Most products are sold as-is with manufacturer warranties applying to the material itself. The installation warranty covers failures directly related to installation technique. It does not cover: defect or failure of the material; substrate failure (paint, clear coat, etc.); damage caused by the customer; or product used outside intended conditions.
EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESS INSTALLATION WARRANTY DESCRIBED ABOVE, VINYL INK MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Claims
Vinyl Ink will repair or replace products manufactured in-house at our expense when an installation-related warranty claim is approved. Failure to return the product or vehicle within 10 days of discovering an issue may forfeit warranty protections. Vinyl Ink is not responsible for incidental costs such as loss of business, rental vehicles, travel, or transportation.
Acceptance
Once graphics are printed and your vehicle is dropped off, changes cannot be made. Approved print proofs are final. Any quality concerns or damage must be reported within 3 business days of pickup.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vinyl Ink's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Vinyl Ink for that job. Vinyl Ink is not liable for incidental, consequential, indirect, special, or punitive damages including loss of business, lost profits, rental-vehicle costs, travel, transportation, downtime, or loss of goodwill.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Vinyl Ink, its owners, employees, and contractors harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) artwork or files you supplied where a third party claims infringement; (c) your misuse of products we install; or (d) your violation of any law in connection with our services.
Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Alameda County, California.
Dispute Resolution
Before filing any lawsuit, contact us at remove@vinyl.ink with a written description of the dispute. We will work in good faith for at least 30 days to resolve the issue informally.
Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, fire, power outages, supply-chain disruptions, government action, or labor disputes.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after the update is posted means you accept the changes.
